*shudder*

Not sure that I am looking forward to that. Increasingly uninterested with it after season 4, maybe season 3.

Maybe...

I'd go along with that - series 1-3 were top notch, started to run out of steam in series 4, then series 5 was just bollocks and I stopped watching.

I fear this new thing is going to be terrible, but I'll probably still watch it and try to do so without prejudice as I always do, and see what it's like.

I'll watch it if I'm here.

Rumours are I may be in India over Easter. Not holding my breath though.

Nah, it wasn't until season 7 that it turned to bollocks in the negative sense, it were bollocks in good fun up 'til then.

Having watched it from one end to the other I'll probably record these new episodes out of curiosity, not getting my hopes up too high though.

I'm looking forward to it & I hope it turns out good.

I loved series 1-6.

7 & 8 weren't as good, but watching them back on DVD recently they're not so bad, having some great moments

It was once Rob Grant stopped writing for it that it went downhill, Doug Naylor doesn't seem to get it right on his own.

When Rob Grant wrote, each episode was a seperate story, but the series' without him had the story lines continue through the series more. And yet Rob Grants unconnected series that aired on Sky 1, The Strangerers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Strangerers just didn't work out well either. I think they need each other for the comedy, but they fell out somewhere along the line.

I'll watch these new ones out of curiosity, but I don't have high expectations.

Oh come on! Series 1 & 2 were great, but never really quite got it all together (still had some stunning performances like Me2 and Thanks for the Memory). It didn't really come into it's own until Kryten came along, and then it took a season to really get into the swing of things. I thing series 4 & 5 were the strongest. By series 6 it had definitely peaked, but was still producing some great episodes like Tikka to Ride. Series 7 was not it's finest hour, but still had one or two fine episodes like Ourouboros. Series 8, though... well, there were bits of it I liked, but, but...

Anyway, not sure how I feel about the new one. One wonders, would it be on Dave if it was any good?

It was just that you'd put in a return after the first tag - that's all - otherwise it was spot on.
