Doctor When has sent out the following note to his chums, so it could be a day out with historical re-enactors, steam punks and sprouts.

BLACK COUNTRY BEER TOUR - bigger and better, and maybe on a vintage bus.

September Saturday 26th?. If we can get 30-odd people interested, it might make hiring a vintage 1940s/1950s coach a viable option. If we can fill a medium-sized vintage coach with about 35 people, we can get the "bus ticket" costs down to around 20 per person. Alternatively, a modern bus would be about 10.00

I'd probably extend the day a bit and drop in an extra stop for lunch, so something like:

Pick up: New Street B2 4ND 1000
Approx. 35 min journey
Vine (Bull & Bladder) DY5 2TN 1040 - 1125
Approx. 15 min journey
Park Inn (Holdens Brewery) DY1 4LN 1140 - 1220
Approx. 10 min journey
Wagon & Horses (Toll End Brewery) DY4 0ET 1230 - 1310
Approx. 15 min journey
Lunch @ Fountain, Lower Gornal DY3 2PE 1330 - 1530
short walk to
Old Bull's Head DY3 2NU 1535 - 1615
Approx. 10 min journey
Beacon Hotel (Sarah Hughes) DY3 1JE 1625 - 1830
Approx. 15 min journey
Old Swan (Ma Pardoes) DY2 9PY 1845 - 2045
Approx. 30 min journey
Drop off: New Street B2 4ND approx 2130

NOT A FINAL ITINERARY! It's all dependent on opening hours, the bus people and other factors bound to crop up... note that I've given us more time at our two favourite places at the end of the tour, too. Bear in mind a vintage bus might take a bit longer on the "fast road" journeys from and back to Brum. I chose New St as it's central for people travelling from outside the Midlands.

Anybody interested? The cut off to join is when we get a total of 34 applicants, so let us know ASAP.
Thanks
