Ok. I have about my person a brand new unread, uncorrected bound proof copy of NECROPHENIA. Some swine tried to flog one on ebay but my publisher had ebay put a stop to that. I am prepared to auction my copy here on this thread, in aid of a good cause, signed and personalised. The highest bidder will of course end up with something unique, as there won't be any other signed copies knocking about. So this is a one-off.
So, folks, any takers, what am I bid?
Go on you know you want to, you can read it before anyone else...

Tenner anywhere to get the ball rolling?

Hate to tell you this but the swine seems to be at it again. Another proof copy on ebay. I am gonna report it to ebay and hope they will remove it. I still dont know why the publishers dont keep a track on who they send proof copies to. This kind of behaviour is just wrong. Especially as I cant get a proof readers job Sad

Anyway here is the offending article. Robert, speak to your lawyer, publisher, Damian Hirst or whoever is required to help get this removed

Well I have reported it (after much faffing about trying to find the right report status thingy). I do buy seciond hand books from ebay. But thats just me trying to get every book in a first edition (hardback for preference too). I would buy the hardcovers of the ones I dont have in hardcover if your publisher would print them. Why? Cos I want you to make some money. That way you'll keep on writing more books. Its that simple.

As for this dip.... Well I will always do my best to subvert this kind of activity. He can sell the proof after the release date though. Thats fair.

Sorry Jeremy...I mistyped, it should have read "ailing cat musicians" - those poor moggy troubadours!

Can we substitute hard cash for jaffa cakes...is that what I am to understand from the proceedings to date? It is a good wheeze as you don't have to pay VAT on Jaffa Cakes Smile
